Guthrie Bishop Adams III
Guthrie is a software developer with 15 years of professional experience building commercial video games, casino games, and related software. For 10 years prior to that, he spent a great deal of time learning and developing demos, games, and tools in school and as a hobbyist.
He’s been a key contributor to several products, shipping many kinds of games across a wide variety of platforms including: Xbox, Sony PlayStation 1 & 2, SEGA Dreamcast, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo 64, iPhone, iPad, and PC.
Guthrie has been responsible for most aspects of game and general software development including technical design, user interface, user experience, game-play, graphics, engine architecture, art and design content creation tools, animation systems, AI, and more. He loves bringing useful, creative, interactive projects to life. He enjoys most of the engaging challenges of his work but there is no greater high than building something that entertains, engages, or empowers people to make the unimaginable possible.
He has lead and been a technical leader, charged with team-building, hiring, interviewing, mentoring, technical training, code and design reviews, problem-solving, and challenging others to pursue their own technical growth. Whether it’s educating someone on a foreign design pattern or teaching them a new shader technique, it’s gratifying to be responsible for others’ light bulb moments.
Guthrie loves games, graphics, and gadgets, and has watched way too many movies.
